Gladys Burns Memorial Scholarship

Thanks to the League of Women Voters of Thurston County

Gladys Bums, who died in 1994, left to League of Women Voters of Thurston County a donation worth approximately $3000.00. She specified no particular use, but her particular passion was to improve the lives of people through individual action and societal change. The LWVTC can best honor Gladys by endowing a scholarship for low-income students. We expect some of the many organizations Gladys founded or supported will be eager to contribute to the endowment. In this way, Gladys’ remarkable life and contributions as a community leader will be remembered and honored into the distant future.
